We began with the idea of removing the stairs and creating a short incline to the front door. This required quite a bit of engineering and tons of topsoil.
To protect the siding, we built a short stem wall and installed drainage pipe and rock. The pillars near the front door had rotted at the base so we built river rock pillars that we then mirrored on the three car garage we built for the client. In addition, we graded and poured and curbed a driveway with post and ground lights along the edge.
Finally, a nice 2 tier retaining wall was installed with a level sod lawn, rock border, and plant beds with beauty bark.
